My uncle had an "Indian" sailboat when I was growing up. It was an all wooden boat with a jib. I remember the little symbol on the mainsail. My uncle loved that boat. Painting this makes me think of that uncle, my dad and their older brother and how they got along.
Artist Statement: I am inspired to paint when I feel a sense of sway. Sometimes it begins from listening to music, but it will often come from my own thoughts and what I see.
