A favorite sailor's rhyme "Red skies at night, sailors' delight. Red skies in the morning, sailors take warning" played over in my head as I painted this scene. As an optimist, I am going to say this is an early evening sail.

Artist Statement: I am inspired to paint when I feel a sense of sway. Sometimes it begins from listening to music, but it will often come from my own thoughts and what I see.
