This second of a triptych of sunflower paintings, made me think of the difference between solitude and isolation. I name these sunflowers with human qualities because that is how I see them. They are very figurative. This painting can be either horizontal or vertical.
Artist Statement: I am inspired to paint when I feel a sense of sway. Sometimes it begins from listening to music, but it will often come from my own thoughts and what I see.
