After I drew a quick "gesture" drawing for this scene, I knew wanted to paint it. These are 5 "Indian" sailboats, a kind of daysailer that I grew up with. I loved how they were each catching the wind their own way. The group of them reminded me of peaceful protesters in a march.
Artist Statement: I am inspired to paint when I feel a sense of sway. Sometimes it begins from listening to music, but it will often come from my own thoughts and what I see.
