This reminds me of when I was a child and my family would go out for a sail. We would go on day trips just across and around Nantucket Harbor. One of my uncles had a boat similar to this one. I liked how it did not heel over too far and felt steady in the water.
Artist Statement: I am inspired to paint when I feel a sense of sway. Sometimes it begins from listening to music, but it will often come from my own thoughts and what I see.
