My daughter bought a painting for her dorm room from a local department store. She asked that I paint another that would "go with it". I didn't want to mimic the style, so I decided if I kept to the same colors and subject matter my painting would "compliment" the first and in that way "go with it".
Artist Statement: I am inspired to paint when I feel a sense of sway. Sometimes it begins from listening to music, but it will often come from my own thoughts and what I see.
