I love the still reflection that can occur in a harbor. Wooden boats are always a delight to paint but one thing I really loved when painting this white striped boat was the actual color of the white. To get it to "work", I had to use a very strong blue. That sort of optical illusion fascinates me.
Artist Statement: I am inspired to paint when I feel a sense of sway. Sometimes it begins from listening to music, but it will often come from my own thoughts and what I see.
