I once stayed by the ocean off-season for a week and was fascinated by the changing color of the sea each morning. Often it was a deep blue like this one. The speed in this painting is undeniable and I can relate to the crew staying on the "high" side in this wind.
Artist Statement: I am inspired to paint when I feel a sense of sway. Sometimes it begins from listening to music, but it will often come from my own thoughts and what I see.
