I revisited my Scotland photos while trying out a new medium - cold wax - with my oils. I enjoyed the glaze-like layering and the misty quality it gave to my painting. This scene I've painted once before. It is of 3 friends soaking their feet at the end of a day of hiking. We are in the Whiting Bay area on the Isle of Arran.
Artist Statement: I am inspired to paint when I feel a sense of sway. Sometimes it begins from listening to music, but it will often come from my own thoughts and what I see.
